Meine Rente – app and website
Short version: the app collects no data. None at all. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no ads and no internet connection. The app cannot know anything about you, because it never asks anything about you.

The app stores exactly one piece of information locally on your device: whether the welcome screen has already been shown. That's it. No input, no usage data, no device identifiers and no location data are collected.
The app never connects to the internet. It contains no server communication, no analytics tools (no Google Analytics, no Firebase), no third-party crash reporting, no advertising SDKs and no social media trackers. All 365 quotes are contained in the app itself; the quote of the day is calculated on your device from the date.
The app requests no permissions whatsoever – neither notifications nor contacts, photos, location or camera.
When you pass a quote on using the share button, the app hands the text to the iOS share sheet. Whatever happens next (sending by message, mail or social media) is handled entirely by the app you choose and is subject to its own privacy terms.
The Home Screen and Lock Screen widget displays the quote of the day. It accesses only the quotes contained in the app and the current date, and transmits no data.
The purchase is handled exclusively by Apple. I receive neither your name nor your email address or payment information from Apple – only anonymous sales statistics (number of sales per country). Apple's privacy policy applies.
If you uninstall the app, the single stored piece of information (see 2.1) is removed with it. There is nothing beyond that which would need to – or could – be deleted.
When you visit meine-renten.app, the hosting provider stores technically necessary data in server log files: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system. This data serves solely the secure operation of the website, is not combined with other data and is deleted after a short period. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in stable, secure operation.
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads no third-party content (no external fonts, no social media plugins, no embedded videos). The “Quote of the Day” on the home page is loaded from a file on the same server; no data about you is collected in the process.
If you write to me, I use your details solely to answer your enquiry. The message is deleted once the matter is settled, unless a statutory retention period applies.
You have the right to information, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, as well as data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR and Art. 25 ff. of the Swiss FADP). Since the app collects no data, in practice these rights will only concern email correspondence. Please contact support@meine-renten.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority – in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
This privacy policy may be updated when needed, for example when new features are added. The current version is always available on this page.
